Why You are Getting Little or no Traffic on Your Blog

Some days ago i outlined some reason bloggers/webmasters are not getting faithful readers or returning visitors, you may check it out.

Well, before getting returning visitors, you must have traffic, which we are going to discuss now.

Getting readers to your blog is an issue that follows creating a blog/site. But due to the competition and other factors, it may make it hard to get huge visitors. Below are some reason why your blog/site may lack traffics:

1. Blog/Site Design
When creating a web, design is the basic factors you must put into consideration before launching. Your blog/site must be responsive enough for your users to navigate through.

Your blog must be compatible on all devices, mobile especially - 70% of people use mobile to browse the internet. Choose a good and responsive theme or template.

It must not be scary...imagine a blog with black background with red fonts :) lol. So you must choose a good link text, fonts and background color. It should look like a proffessional site, because people love reading blogs that is well arranged and designed. So give your users reasons to call back.

2. Enough Content
Nobody wants to read a blog with little or no content. So these another major reason to consider if getting a cool traffic to your blog is your obtjective. Ask yourself; where will my users go after reading a particular blog post? So it must be stock up with content that catches their mind and make them engaging...

So write articles that are well composed and captivating for your blog readers.

3. You Aint Updating Frequently
Another major factor is not updating your blog/site frequently. Imagine coming back to see the same topic! People love updated blogs with updated contents. So update your blog 3-4 post per week and see the magic.

4. Page Loading Speed
In this post, i talked about minimising page loading speed as one of the factor to boost site traffic.

Henceforth, the faster your site pages load, the better it performance in SERP. When you visited a site that take 1minute to load what did you do? You cut the loading or even close tab and search for what you where looking for, Right? So thats same with other people surfing the web, if 4-5 people continue doing this to the site it will reduce the page rank in SERP! So minimise your page loading speed! 5. You Are Greedy
Greedy in the sense that you share your contents. This may be a factor why your blog lacks traffic, so find forums and people that need your content and share to them. Use social media like google plus, twitter, facebook and make good use of them. Don't spam but give the right content to the right people. Imagine posting a topicabout agric in a tech or entertainment forum...it may not be useful to them.

Encourage your users to share your content. I've in some site using some slogan like "sharing is sxxy". You may carve your own slogan like "sharing is loving". And encourage your visitors to share your content to friends!
